About Alara Cellars
Rich in flavor, deep in artistic beauty, Alara wines are composed so you experience the wonderful expression of its fruit in each sip. Winemaker and owner, Janu Goelz, brought together her two passions when creating Alara Cellars – Wine and Fashion. Fashion illustration can vary from being whimsical and flirty to bold and provocative. This is also the case for wine. Janu directs the art of the fashion for a harmonious show – “Vin a la mode!” The rich, handcrafted wine is only part of Alara’s story. As a good wine completes conversation and friendship, it’s the labels that completes Alara’s image to connection to fashion. Janu works with fashion designer, Malene Grotrian to create each label. The labels are created by the two to personify the characteristics of the wine. Alara Cellars opened in October 2017 at The Stomping Ground in Gilroy, CA. The tasting room is open weekends from 12-5pm. For more information, please visit www.alaracellars.com.
