Breakthru Beverage Wine Leader Adam Pizer Named Senior Vice President, Supplier Business Development

May 2, 2024 – Breakthru Beverage Group, a leading North American beverage distributor with operations spanning 16 U.S. markets and Canada, today announced Adam Pizer has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Supplier Business Development, Wine. In this role, Pizer will continue to work strategically and collaboratively with Breakthru’s regions and markets to build further momentum around the distributor’s wine strategies, which are driven by industry leading data and expert teams to support suppliers’ visions, portfolios and brand strategies.

“Adam has led many of our key wine initiatives, taking a proactive approach that has strengthened relationships with our partners while staying connected to the end consumer,” said Kevin Roberts, Chief Commercial Officer, Breakthru Beverage Group. “Adam was instrumental in the development and implementation of our fine wine strategy, Aspect, that quickly solidified itself as one of the leading fine wine divisions in the U.S. Adam’s leadership and understanding of the markets helped set the tone for Aspect, in both the on and off premise and resulting in Breakthru outperforming the market in key category trends across our footprint. I’m excited to see what’s to come as he takes on an even larger role in our wine strategy.”

In the new role, Pizer will report directly to Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Roberts and take on greater responsibility for dictating the company’s ever-evolving wine strategy. That includes a robust education component, equipping associates to help brands grow, tell their story, educate customers and enhance their experience. Breakthru continues to leverage insights and expertise to support customers and help them grow their relevance with consumers.
