Sonoma Cider to Open Taproom in Healdsburg Early August 2016


New Drinking and Gathering Establishment to Showcase Exclusive Artisanal Flavors from Sonoma Cider, and More

Sonoma Cider LabelSONOMA, CA, APRIL 25, 2016—Sonoma Cider, the award-winning hard cider company rapidly gaining a reputation for its certified organic ingredients and crisp, distinctive flavors, will be opening the doors to its first brick-and-mortar taproom in early August 2016, giving a home to all Sonoma Cider fans near and far. Located in Healdsburg, CA (a block south of Healdsburg Square) and led by Sonoma Cider’s founders, David and Robert Cordtz, the concept will be a reflection of the brand’s philosophy, where craft, authenticity and enjoyment reign supreme.

“I’m really excited to finally have a place where Sonoma Cider fans from the area and across the country can come see how we make our ciders while enjoying a pint in beautiful downtown Healdsburg,” says David Cordtz, co-founder/CEO/Cidermaster of Sonoma Cider.

Robert Cordtz, co-founder and VP of Operations at Sonoma Cider, adds, “The taproom is going to give us really amazing opportunities to taste and formulate even more obscure and exciting ciders. I’ve also always been jealous of the crew in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as they have their own bar. Now, their twisted reality can become my own.”

Guests can expect a wide variety of craft ciders (25 taps in total) including micro-releases, experimental batches and exclusive flavors from Sonoma Cider, as well as additional artisanal ciders from around the world. A menu of approachable fare in the form of small snacks and shareable plates will also be available.

The Sonoma Cider Taproom gives off a comfortable yet industrial feel in a warehouse shell. The new establishment seats around 60 total, with 30 seats inside as well as about 30 spots outdoors. Rich deep earth tones with splashes of color are enhanced by the texture of reclaimed wood, steel and concrete throughout the space. Design features include a large bar, visible and operational fermentation tanks, comfortable bench seating, and rollup glass doors that connect the inside with the outside.

This space will fuse exceptional quality with spirit, highlighting all that makes Sonoma County truly unique. The team plans to showcase live music, local talent, comedy, and more, providing a lively space for the locals and visitors alike.

The Sonoma Cider Taproom is located at 44 Mill Street, Healdsburg, CA (behind Mill Street Antique and The Parish Cafe) and will initially be open Thursday – Sunday, with exact hours to be determined.
