Boston Debut Scheduled for September, Washington D.C. Slated for Later This Year

(June 14, 2017- Boston, MA) City Winery, founded in 2008 as Manhattan’s first fully-functional winery, restaurant, music venue and private event space, with locations in Chicago, Nashville, and Atlanta, will open its fifth location in Boston this September with a sixth slated for later this year in Washington D.C. Quickly becoming a nationally recognized brand that satisfies the entertainment needs of a sophisticated clientele, City Winery offers an intimate setting to enjoy music from some of the world’s most renowned artists over an award-winning glass of wine.

“Our goal is to offer a one-of-a-kind concert and dining experience,” said Michael Dorf, CEO and founder of City Winery.  “By blending the worlds of wine and music together, we create an intimate atmosphere where guests can enjoy a concert while savoring great food paired with phenomenal wines for an experience unlike any other restaurant or concert venue in town.”

City WInery takes great pride in sourcing grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the world – Cabernet Sauvignon from Bettinelli in Napa, California to Pinot Noir from Hyland Vineyards in Willamette Valley, Oregon or even Malbec from the esteemed Catena Vineyards in Agrelo, Mendoza Argentina.

Over 60% of the wine produced by City Winery goes into their eco-friendly on-tap system, which uses neutral argon gas. After 6-18 months in a barrel, the wine is transferred straight to stainless steel kegs rather than into the bottle. Tap lines automatically cool the wine to its optimal temperature, making the wine ready to serve.

City Winery guests are invited to enjoy the Barrel Room tasting bar and restaurant, where they can try house wines served fresh on tap, straight from the cellar. Tasting flights are offered to sample the many wines made in house, along with an award-winning wine list featuring over 400 wines from many of the top producers from all over the world. Whether for a concert, wine class, tasting dinner, or private party, guests are never out of view of either the stainless steel tanks or French Oak barrels.
