WINE WOMEN LogoNapa, California | October 24, 2016: WINE WOMEN, a nonprofit professional trade organization focused on advancing women’s careers in the wine industry by fostering and nurturing talent, providing networking and training opportunities, as well as advocating for better opportunities for women in this industry, welcomes Susan DeMatei, owner of WineGlass Marketing, as guest speaker to its Marketing Forum meeting on Tuesday, November 1st, at Fairwinds Estate Winery, in Calistoga at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to women and men serving in marketing professions in the wine industry.

“I’m excited to welcome Susan DeMatei and hear her insights on content marketing for wineries since many of our members work in digital marketing professions in the wine industry,” commented Leah Young, Marketing Forum chair. She continued, “Given the direction wine marketing has taken in technology integration and ‘content is king,’ I couldn’t ask for a more appropriate speaker and topic for our forum meeting.”

The meeting is open to members and non-members alike. Seating is limited and advance registration is required at: http://wine-women-marketing-forum-mtg-nov16.eventbrite.com/

The historic Calistoga winery is situated on the Silverado Trail in the northern Napa Valley. In 1969, Thomas Cotrell and Thomas Parkhill, both Silicon Valley engineers, founded the Calistoga location. New York publisher Oakleigh Thorne subsequently purchased the winery in 1974 and appointed the Swiss- born Philip Togni as Winemaker. In 1979, the Schmidheiny family of Switzerland purchased the winery and operated it as Cuvaison for 36 years until April 2015 when Brandon Chaney and Anthony Zabit, both San Francisco entrepreneurs, purchased the property and introduced Fairwinds Estate Winery to Napa Valley.

The winery produces fine wines in spirit of the history of Napa Valley with elegant Cabernets and well-balanced Chardonnays in honor of the “Judgment of Paris” back in 1976 which spawned the growth in the Napa Valley.

Tasting is available on property weekly. Please call to learn more about special events on their grounds and expansive wine caves.
