Tour of the Rive and Experience Room
Col San Martino (Treviso) May 9th 2024 – Andreola, a renowned family winery located in Col San Martino, invites enthusiasts and the curious to immerse themselves in the world of enology through a unique and engaging experience. Founded in 1984 by Nazzareno Pola, and today run with passion and dedication by Stefano Pola, the winery celebrates the richness and diversity of the Valdobbiadene DOCG territory, recognised in 2019 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The winery is a must for all those wishing to explore and fully understand the concept of ‘heroic viticulture’, a term that reflects the manual labour and painstaking care that the steep hillsides of the area need. Andreola’s vineyards extend over 110 hectares on slopes that require totally manual and sustainable viticulture, ensuring minimal impact on the environment and promoting a rich and varied biodiversity.
Today the winery’s wine tourism offer is broad and multi-sensory: with the opening of the new Experience Room, Andreola offers visitors the opportunity to discover the Valdobbiadene area in three dimensions. “Our Experience Room, says Stefano Pola, represents an innovative educational and informative approach, designed to offer an immersive and multi-sensory experience. It is the ideal place for those eager to explore in depth the heritage and heroic viticulture of this area and our winery. This space also represents the starting point for a variety of activities that we offer our guests, including guided tours with tastings, an extensive programme of walking and e-bike excursions along the Rive (the slopes of the steep hills that characterise Conegliano Valdobbiadene), and a series of special events directly in our vineyards.”
This educational space has a lot of information that allows you to completely immerse yourself in the history and winemaking practices of the company, offering a complete sensorial experience that stimulates sight, touch and smell. The tours and guided tastings that the company of Col San Martino offers are also fascinating and engaging: enthusiasts will, in fact, be able to choose among three different proposals, which include, in addition to an extraordinarily thorough visit to the winery and production, also a lunch in a local restaurant to fully enjoy traditional Venetian cuisine made up of dishes capable of enhancing the flavours and aromas of Andreola wines. In addition to guided tours, Andreola invites guests to participate in walking and e-bike excursions among the picturesque Rive of Valdobbiadene and in special events in the vineyard, offering the opportunity to appreciate, in a dynamic and interactive way, the beauty and uniqueness of this territory. Because Andreola’s Valdobbiadene DOCG is more than a wine: it is an experience that connects history, culture and nature in a glass of Valdobiadene DOCG.
