Sonoma State UniversityROHNERT PARK, CA (April 9, 2015) – QuickBooks®: A Comprehensive Application for Your Wine Business is a new online certificate program from Sonoma State’s Wine Business Institute launching this May.  The 8 week program was developed after much success with the institute’s four hour seminar, Using QuickBooks in the Wine Industry.

While the seminar aims to give an overview of the breadth and depth of what QuickBooks® can do for wine businesses, the comprehensive online program will guide winery staff currently using QuickBooks® through industry specific strategies and methods to properly set up their QuickBooks in order to follow industry reporting standards and metrics. The wine industry is unique in that many businesses are actually a handful of business running under one roof. The QuickBooks® Certificate program will explore the many useful functions and solutions to tracking multi-platform sales and inventory in one piece of software and ultimately producing meaningful and accurate financial reports for wine businesses.

QuickBooks®: A Comprehensive Application for Your Wine Business will be led by Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®, Jeanette Tan. Jeanette is also manages the books and reporting for Kokomo Winery and has a consulting practice, QB Winery Solutions, which provides training, setup, and support for micro and boutique wineries across the country. With over 10 years of QuickBooks® experience, Jeanette is the go to industry professional and has personally developed this course to meet the needs of the wine industry bookkeeping staff. Knowing that these individuals are very busy she has created a Chat Room for the course that will be open 24/7 along with student access to videos, recorded Q&A sessions and discussion boards.

The online course starts May 13th. The cost of the program is $1100, if registered by April 29th, the fee is $960. For more information visit www.sonoma.edu/winebiz or contact Erin Ringstad, erin.ringstad@sonoma.edu, or 707-664-3235.
