Sustainable Winemaking and Agriculture Leader Bolsters Market Presence  

Ovid BattatNapa Calif., July 11 2018 — Long Meadow Ranch has bolstered its national sales efforts with the appointment of Ovid Battat as National Accounts Manager, and Brandy Steinhauser as Midwest Sales Manager. In these newly created roles, both Battat and Steinhauser will report to Vice President of Sales, Brad Groper.

Based in Florida, Ovid Battat joins LMR from Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits where he spent a decade leading the National Accounts Division for Diageo. Battat is also a certified Sommelier whose previous roles include Brand Marketing Manager at Fedway Associates and operating his own importing business. At Long Meadow Ranch he is responsible for expanding LMR’s efforts in the ever important channel of on-and-off premise national accounts.

Brandy Steinhauser CSW joins Long Meadow Ranch as Midwest Regional Sales Manager. Formerly Area Manager at Don Sebastiani and Sons, Steinhauser is based in Ohio and is responsible for leading the development and expansion of this region covering Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, The Dakotas, Missouri, Minnesota, Indiana, and Iowa.
On the appointments, Vice President of Sales, Brad Groper commented:

Brandy Steinhauser“Both Ovid and Brandy are a great fit for LMR and will contribute to a very strong existing sales team. Ovid joins the team with vast experience in the national account arena which will improve our ability to expand our presence in this channel.

Groper continued:

“Brandy’s experience in the Midwest, along with her long-standing relationships, will help LMR align our business with our distributor partners’ operations, to meet and grow our business goals in the territory.”

The new appointments take the national sales team to seven people covering the West, Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, California state and National accounts. In the last three years, LMR has experienced significant growth in the wholesale channel with plans to continue resource investment and aggressive wholesale distribution growth for the immediate three to five years.

Established in 1989, Long Meadow Ranch now operates a dynamic business that comprises multiple wine estates, namely Rutherford, Mayacamas and Anderson Valley. Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch in St. Helena also boasts an American farmhouse restaurant, chef’s table, outdoor café, farmer’s market, general store, and wine tasting bar.
Lead by the Hall family, Long Meadow Ranch is a pioneer of Full Circle Farming, an organic, sustainable, integrated farming system that relies on each part of the ranch to contribute to the health of the full operation.
