(May 6, 2024) — Gloria Ferrer is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Altomare as Winemaker. Altomare will oversee wine production and winemaking operations for Gloria Ferrer while working alongside Director of Vineyard, Brad Kurtz, to ensure fruit supply and quality.

Melanie Schaefer, General Manager at Gloria Ferrer commented on Altomare’s appointment: “We are excited to have Kyle as the leader of our winemaking team. His dedication to quality and enthusiasm for innovation will drive our house-style and help Gloria Ferrer grow into the next chapter.”

Prior to joining Gloria Ferrer, Altomare held roles including Cellar Master for Clos Pegase, Enologist for Charles Krug and most recently, a five-year tenure at Raventos Codorniu North America where he held positions of Associate Winemaker for Artesa Vineyards as well as Winemaker for two brands within portfolio.

“I’m deeply humbled and honored to be selected to steward such an iconic brand. Over the past year, I’ve immersed myself in learning the style of the house, while also using creativity and ingenuity to help drive innovation.
