Winery expands offerings to complement its top-selling Chardonnay

September 25, 2017, Sonoma County, CA – Russian River Valley’s Raeburn Winery is excited to announce the premiere release of its Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. The much-anticipated line extension to Raeburn’s already wildly popular Russian River Chardonnay, the 2016 vintage Pinot Noir will be distributed nationally with a suggested retail price of $25.

The Russian River Valley is considered one of the most renowned Chardonnay and Pinot Noir growing regions in the world and 2016 an amazing vintage by all standards. As a result, Raeburn’s 2016 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is deliciously opulent and well-balanced with aromas and flavors of wild blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry that are highlighted by notes of roasted hazelnut, baking spices, and vanilla. The silky tannins give it a smooth mouthfeel and lead to a long and luxurious finish.

“The fantastic quality of the 2016 vintage combined with the incredible success of our Raeburn Chardonnay, which has doubled its growth every year for the past three years and is already among the top-ten best-selling ultra-premium Chardonnays in the country, the time felt right to add a Pinot Noir to the mix,” states Tracey Mason, Sr. Vice President of Marketing + Innovation for Purple Wine + Spirts. “We took our time to source the right vineyards and craft a wine that we considered to be the best representation of the delicious and approachable Raeburn style. This new Russian River Valley Pinot Noir mirrors the quality that Raeburn stands for and will appeal to the cool-climate Pinot Noir lover. ”
