C. Mondavi & Family Board of Directors Appoints Judd Wallenbrock President and Chief Executive Officer

Wallenbrock Joins Fourth Generation C. Mondavi & Family on Board of Directors 

Napa, Calif., June 13, 2017 – C. Mondavi & Family, one of Napa’s oldest wine companies, has announced today the appointment of Judd Wallenbrock as President and CEO effective June 19. Judd succeeds John Lennon, who has been interim CEO since November 2016. With this announcement, Judd will also join the Board of Directors as the 74-year-old family-owned wine company continues its five-year strategic plan to pursue significant growth. 

Brothers and co-proprietors Marc Mondavi and Peter Mondavi Jr. said in a joint statement: “After a thorough search, the family and Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Judd to C. Mondavi & Family, both as CEO and as a member of our Board of Directors. Judd’s leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the success he has exhibited within 3-tier and consumer direct business models, both luxury and lifestyle wineries, will be great assets to C. Judd brings more than 35 years of leadership and executive experience in the wine industry with well-known brands including De Loach Vineyards, Jessup Cellars, Michel-Schlumberger and Robert Mondavi, where he held several executive level positions including VP Global Brand Development and VP and General Manager of Robert Mondavi Coastal Winery. As founder of Brand-Aid Wine Consulting, Judd played a strategic role in the evolution of popular brands such as Chalk Hill Winery, Roshambo and Signorello Estate. He also founded and operated for over 15 years his own philanthropic label, Humanitas. Today Judd is active as a Board member for the Arts Council Napa Valley. Judd has a BS in Agri-Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird.
