Geneva, NY- (January 2017)- Three Brothers Wineries and Estates, located in the Finger Lakes, is proud to announce Aaron Roisen as the Estate’s newest member of the Winemaking Team.

Roisen’s career in the wine industry began when he planted 10 acres of wine grapes on his family’s corn and soybean farm in Dawson, Minnesota. After securing vines in the ground, he chose to educate himself further through both an advanced degree and experiential training in the wine industry. Late in 2000, Roisen moved to Marlborough, New Zealand, where he pursued his degree in Winemaking and Viticulture from the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology. Once conferred, Aaron stayed in New Zealand where he joined the red wine production team at South Pacific Cellars. Ready to return to the US in 2003, Aaron accepted the job as Assistant Winemaker at Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellar on Seneca Lake and made the move from

Marlborough to the Finger Lakes. Aaron has since called the Finger Lakes his home, making wine for Atwater Winery and Hosmer Winery on Cayuga Lake, where he was the head winemaker from 2007. Aaron joined the Three Brothers team at the beginning of 2017.

During his time in the Finger Lakes, Aaron has received many national and international awards including “Best Dry Riesling” at the 2012 Finger Lakes A.V.A Wine Competition and “Best New York State Riesling Producer” at the 2015 Berlin International Wine Competition. Roisen scored 90 points in Wine Enthusiast for Rieslings he made in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and for a Pinot Noir he made in 2015. His Chardonnay wines have garnered consecutive “Best Buys” by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator recently scored one of his Rieslings 90 points.

“I met Aaron a few years ago at an industry event We have always had great conversations about things that are happening in the cellar,” says Justin Paolicelli, Winemaker at Three Brothers Wineries. “When he showed interest in joining our team, I was very excited. I love his progressive style of winemaking and the wealth of experience he brings to the table.”

The Three Brothers Wineries and Estates campus houses three wineries and a microbrewery all within walking distance of each other, offering a distinctively different ambiance on the 47-acre farm and property. Established in 2007, Stony Lonesome Wine Cellars, Passion Feet Vineyards and Wine Barn, Bagg Dare Wine Company and War Horse Brewing Co. see visitation of 100,000+ visitors each year, with continuous annual growth.
