Wine Industry Symposium(Napa, CALIF) – The Wine Industry Symposium Group has announced the creation of a new event set to take place in Lodi, California this summer. The Lodi Vineyard and Wine Economic Symposium, is scheduled for June 22, 2016 at the Wine & Roses Conference Center, with a VIP Kick-Off dinner the night before. The results of the first 2016 Lodi Vineyard and Wine Survey will be presented at the full-day event, along with a program filled with wine experts and influencers active in shaping the future of the wine business in Lodi and surrounding regions.

“We have long watched Lodi grow both in terms of production and perception,” said Kathy Archer, Wine Industry Symposium Group President, “With generational shifts, and other notable changes, the timing is right to create a program focused specifically upon the economic and financial side of the wine business in Lodi other nearby wine producing areas.”

“Bringing a Wine Symposium to Lodi is a natural step, reflective of the evolution of our region. We are happy to join other premium regions with a conference focused upon the issues unique to our area,” said Craig Ledbetter, Vice President / Partner, Vino Farms, LLC and Steering Committee Member, “This symposium will both introduce experts from outside the area, as well as provide opportunities to learn from the experiences of others that are doing business nearby.”

The Lodi Vineyard and Wine Economic Symposium Steering Committee includes: Amy Blagg, Bruce Fry, Camron King, Marissa Lange, Craig Ledbetter, Waunice Orchid and Lisa Adams Walter. Sponsorships for the first annual Lodi Vineyard and Wine Economic Symposium are available. About the Wine Industry Symposium Group

The founders of the Wine Industry Symposium Group met in early 1992 with the hope that by forming a new industry conference, they would create an open exchange of thoughts and ideas concerning financial aspects of the California wine industry.  The Wine Industry Financial Symposium was born. A couple of years later, in 1994, the group started a similar program, the Central Coast Insights Program, to fit the needs of that region. A year later, the Vineyard Economics Seminar was created for grape growers. Because of consistent globalization and consolidation in the wine business, the Wine Industry Symposium Group continues to operate with the mission of providing a critical platform for important communication and dialogue between the multiple facets of the wine business and the lending community.
