Interactive Website Responds to the Needs of our Neighbors in Lake County
Santa Rosa, CA – The fires in Lake County have had a devastating effect on our communities and it will a lot take to rebuild. LoveLakeCounty.org is an online hub where people can quickly connect with local opportunities to donate, volunteer, and give to the victims of the recent Northern California fires. Agencies, organizations, and local efforts can easily interact together and post their needs and volunteer opportunities and connect with donors. The site is being updated live, and will remain updated as long as it takes. The site was created by local web-creative Chris Denny and his team at The Engine is Red in response to the horrible situation thousands now find themselves in – hoping to offer support and help for all those in need. The team is working on adding more resources, functionality, and tools – local individuals and businesses can contact Denny to participate and do so directly on the site. The project is an independent volunteer effort. For more information, to contribute or if you have any questions about the site please call Chris Denny at 707.695.3057 or email direct at chris@theengineisred.com.
The site lists Donation Centers (nonprofits, businesses and individuals) who are dedicated to helping the Lake County fire relief effort. They need help and support, in the form of donations, volunteer work, or direct cash funding.
As always, Denny and his team recommend being vigilant when evaluating an organization to give to. This is a volunteer compiled list and the team is doing their best to verify posts and keep postings up to date, but can’t guarantee that all opportunities have been verified at the time of visits to the site. Denny and his team hope the community will find an organization and a way to support that’s most meaningful to each person.
