Women for Winesense 25The Napa | Sonoma Chapter of Women for WineSense (WWS) will launch a new group, Human Resources Roundtable IV, on August 5th.  The inaugural meeting will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the La Crema Winery, 235 Healdsburg Avenue, in Healdsburg.  The roundtable will be limited to 25 pre-approved human resources professionals in the wine industry. This newest addition highlights the chapter’s geographic expansion with its second Santa Rosa/Sonoma County-based roundtable.

The mission of the Human Resources Roundtable IV is to provide networking opportunities and professional development for HR professionals.  Roundtable meetings serve as friendly, supportive and confidential forums for members to meet, exchange ideas, learn new skills, and network.  This human resources roundtable’s bi-monthly meetings will feature experts and guest speakers on the specific topics and challenges pertaining to the wine industry.  Members may partake in confidential “open forum” discussions during the course of the meetings.

This newest roundtable will be co-chaired by Traci Moranda and Shanne Malilay, professionals with expertise in HR and recruiting within the wine industry.  Traci has been a professional recruiter for nearly twenty years in the greater North Bay area. In early 2014, she founded The Moranda Search Group, continuing to provide recruiting expertise in the wine industry, identifying and recruiting the very best talent.

Shanne Malilay is the Director of Talent Acquisition with Jackson Family Wines.  Shanne has held key HR Business Partner and recruiting management roles with Fireman’s Fund, Restoration Hardware, Autodesk and PG & E.  Shanne brings expertise in all areas of human resources including strategic management, training and development support, multi-state and international labor law and regulations, performance management, employee relations, policy development and interpretation, safety, benefits, compensation, and recruitment.

Traci explained the roundtable’s launch, “Our Sonoma County-based finance roundtable that launched in late-2014 has been well received and extremely successful. The group is highly engaged and we have great attendance at the meetings. We’re discussing challenges, exchanging ideas and helping each other. I see a need for the same with the HR professionals and hope by having a roundtable that is Santa Rosa/Sonoma County-based, the locality is convenient and more professionals can participate. Our goal is to create the same synergy and bring value to our members as we have with the finance roundtable.”

This roundtable is closed to the general public; you must apply to the co-chairs and be pre-qualified to join and attend meetings.  The bi-monthly meetings are free, only a small annual membership fee to the organization is required.  For details, please contact Traci Moranda at Traci@MorandaSearch.com  or 707.473.2338.
