Napa, Calif. ─ Ryan Conner has been named to the newly created position of Region Manager/Southern California General Market for Hess Family Wine Estates, based from Huntington Beach. He will direct sales in the region for the entire Hess portfolio, which includes The Hess Collection, Hess Select, Artezin and MacPhail from California, Amalaya and Colomé from Argentina and Glen Carlou from South Africa.
Conner will report to Michael Reid, California & Hawaii State Manager.
He joins Hess from the Purple Wine Company, where he most recently served as Area Sales Manager, Broad Market for Southern California, responsible for both on and off premise activity. Earlier, he served Delicato Family Vineyards in Northern California, beginning as an on premise
account specialist and, over six years, accepting a series of increasingly responsible assignments concluding as an Area Sales Manager, Specialty Retail. Conner began his career with distributor Young’s Market Company and was a District Manager for San Francisco, earning key recognition for the territory. He was named Top District Manager while serving in that role.
Conner attending Diablo Valley College in the hotel and restaurant management program, and also attended Napa Valley College, concentrating on the Viticulture and Enology program. He holds the Certified Specialist of Wine certification from the Society of Wine Educators.
