June 13 and 14 rosé wine cruises to include 18 wines from Provence, the world’s largest rosé specialty region

Vins de Provence(New York, NY, May 23, 2014) — East Coast wine enthusiasts will gather for a grand celebration of rosé on June 13 and 14 during La Nuit en Rosé (“the pink night”), an elegant wine festival aboard the Hornblower Hybrid luxury yacht on New York City’s Hudson River. La Nuit en Rosé, which is the first and largest event of its kind in America, will showcase rosés from around the world. The cocktail-style tasting events, with afternoon and evening cruises on both Friday and Saturday, will demonstrate the diversity of rosé by featuring more than 50 rosé wines. Thirteen wineries from the Provence region of France will be on hand, pouring one or more of their category-leading rosés.

“As the world’s largest wine region specializing in rosé, we’re pleased to be the most-represented region at La Nuit en Rosé,” said François Millo, director of the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins de Provence. Rosé wines make up more than 88% of all Appellation d’Origine Protégée wines produced in Provence, home of France’s oldest vineyards.

In addition to rosé wine tasting and a 90-minute cruise on the Hudson River, each of the four-hour events will feature hors d’oeuvres, music, and art. Guests choose from four time slots – Friday (June 13) afternoon or evening, or Saturday (June 14) afternoon or evening. Ticket information and full details are online at nuitrose.com

Participating wineries from Provence include:
