Fifth anniversary celebrated with winery of the year awards and top-scoring wines

May 25, 2017 (Medford, Ore.)DANCIN Vineyards, celebrating its fifth anniversary, is earning recognition for its highly-acclaimed wines. DANCIN Vineyards was awarded the “2017 Oregon Winery of the Year” by Wine Press Northwest quickly followed by being voted “The Very Best Winery of 2017” by Southern Oregon Magazine. Industry critics agree awarding 16 DANCIN Vineyards wines at 90 points or higher; as well as numerous wines earning gold and double-gold medals at wine competitions.

DANCIN Vineyards is located in Southern Oregon and creates hand-crafted, world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Burgundian-style. Using sustainable farming practices, attention to detail and classic old-world techniques, DANCIN wines are traditional and artisanal. The vineyard boasts a northwest-facing slope benefitting from the late afternoon shade provided by the surrounding tall pines and cedars, making it the perfect terroir for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a sense of place.

Co-owners Dan and Cindy Marca are continuing the legacy of Pinot Noir in Oregon managing 27 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Led by winemaker, Bryan Wilson, DANCIN wines are a return to traditional methods including the use of natural indigenous yeast, fermentations punched down by hand every eight hours, minimal sulfites used during processing, and moving the wine exclusively by gravity. The belief is that these techniques, which were once considered inefficient and old-school, have in fact proven to be the true path to hand-made, artisanal wine. Along with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, DANCIN also artfully prepares estate Syrah, Barbera and port.

“We believe it’s an honor to care for this great land and we are humbled to work with it in producing beautiful and complex wines that showcase this multi-faceted terroir,” said Dan Marca, co-owner of DANCIN Vineyards. “It’s our duty to allow the vines to express what’s happening in the vineyard and all we do is capture that annual dance into a bottle for family and friends to enjoy.”

DANCIN Vineyards is proud to produce award-winning wines in a terroir that is bringing promise and prestige to Southern Oregon. The Marcas believe this magical area is poised to be one of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay regions in the world and they are excited to showcase its potential.
