HALL Napa Valley has raised $6100 for Napa Humane, a non-profit organization committed to promote the welfare of companion animals through protection, advocacy and education through its fourth annual Harvest Hounds effort held on October 17.
“There is such a strong, dog friendly community here in the Valley”, says vintner Kathryn Hall. “I look forward to attending Harvest Hounds each year with my dogs Rocky and CoCo, and once again thank Napa Humane for their amazing leadership in creating avenues for Napa pets needing attention.”
During Harvest Hounds, 10% of all wine sales were donated to Napa Humane. Additionally, there was a donation opportunity in the St. Helena Tasting Room for guests visiting during the month of October who were unable to attend the event, but wanted to contribute to Napa Humane. Guests attending Harvest Hounds were offered a two-for-one tasting, a $30 savings which benefited Napa Humane. Attendees of Harvest Hounds brought their furry friends to HALL and had a chance to learn more about the Napa Humane organization, participate in a complimentary microchip check to make sure owner details were accurate, got to enjoy activities on the lawn, and homemade designer cookies by Ma Snax. Since 2011, HALL has raised $39,100 for Napa Humane from its annual Harvest Hounds and Cabernet Cookoff events.
“We are so grateful for HALL’s support each year,” says Executive Director of Napa Humane, Jane Albert. “With their generous contributions through Harvest Hounds and the Cabernet Cookoff, we are able to continue our spay/neuter, vaccination, and educational programs that help save the lives of companion animals throughout Napa Valley.”
