Gloria FerrerSonoma, CA (October 26, 2015) — Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards has donated $15,000 to the American Red Cross of Northern California in support of the victims of the Valley Fire that ravaged most of the homes and businesses in Middletown and Cobb, spreading from Lake County into Sonoma and Napa counties.

The funds were raised, in part, by a special “Wine & Donate” day the winery hosted last month in which twenty percent of wine sales in the tasting room and online went toward the fundraising effort.   Additional donations from employees and a matching two to one donation from the winery supplemented this effort.

“All of us were moved by the devastation of that fire that touched so many people close to us.  We wanted to contribute to the Red Cross to help them get back on their feet as soon as possible,” said Thomas Burnet, President of Freixenet America.
