Charles HeidsieckNew York, NY, September 9, 2015 – Champagne Charles Heidsieck, a prestige Grandes Marques-designated Champagne house based in Reims, France, is proud to announce the launch of a new media relations campaign in the United States.

Aimed at educating discerning American fine wine drinkers on the exceptional quality of Charles Heidsieck champagnes, the media relations campaign will focus on the House’s unique approach to aging and reserve wine blending techniques. “We are excited about the opportunity to educate U.S. consumers on the unique characteristics of Charles Heidsieck, and re-establish our presence as one of America’s most appreciated champagnes. Charles Heidsieck has a high level of distinction, as evidenced by our reserve wine program, and it is exciting to showcase this to a new generation of champagne lovers,” said Stephen Leroux, Charles Heidsieck’s Executive Director. Another goal for 2015 and 2016 is to translate the history and reputable personality of Charles Heidsieck, who founded the house at the age of 29 in 1851, and was the first to develop the champagne market in the U.S. in 1852.

As part of the brand’s increased investment in the U.S. market, Charles Heidsieck has appointed Manhattan-based public relations firm, Colangelo & Partners as the PR agency of record. We are confident they will continue this run of success with Champagne Charles Heidsieck.”

Colangelo & Partners specializes in building positive awareness for both prestige brands and institutional wine marketers. Charles Heidsieck rounds out an expanding luxury portfolio for Colangelo & Partners, which is also the agency of record for Damilano, Crus Bourgeois du Médoc, Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi, Gonzalez Byass, and Ornellaia.

Champagne Charles Heidsieck is one of the most respected Champagne houses in France. Founded in 1851, Champagne Charles Heidsieck is among the few prestige brands carrying the Grandes Marques distinction, and the first producer to bring Champagne to the United States. Charles Heidsieck champagnes offer a unique blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, combined with 40 percent of Charles Heidsieck reserve wines, aged for an average of 10 years. Each bottle matures in chalk cellars for 5 to 15 years. This maturation time is essential for the development of the aromatic complexity and refined quality, typical of Charles Heidsieck champagnes.
