Organic pest repellant company’s success with Leafhopper and Phylloxera vineyard and cannabis trials attracts top farming consultant.
October 7, 2019 – Napa/Sonoma — When a retired farmer and organic farming consultant is motivated to put his boots back on and get back into the fields, you know something special is happening.
That’s exactly how Daniel Rotberg felt when he studied the first GroAloe trial conducted on grapes with a major leafhopper infestation, I knew that I wanted to learn more and be a part of this project.”
The trial shows that, “The overall health of the Vineyard has completely transformed from weak and in some places, diseased plants, to a robust and healthy condition with many more grape shoots now forming. What is even more encouraging is that all of the new growth has not been bitten by any new or pre-existing leafhoppers. The leafhoppers have reduced in numbers by over 85% and are completely gone in some parts of the vineyard.
GroAloe has brought Daniel Rotberg onboard as their Senior Farming Consultant, “Knowing how so many crops today are negatively impacted or outright ruined by insects and pests, mold, mildew and fungus and how many traditional farmers are looking to convert to organic farming, I felt like I could add tremendous value to the farming community,” says Rotberg.
Co-Founders of Better Green Crops (and Better Canna Crops) Leonard Atlas, (California) and Andrew Naar (Australia), formed the companies this past year becoming the global distributors of GroAloe.
According to Atlas, “GroAloe is the world’s first and only patented 100% pure Aloe Vera Bio Stimulant and Soil Amendment that naturally repels most pests from most crops. “We recognize how important Organic and Biodynamic farming are today. So many people are concerned with the environment and ‘giving back’ rather than taking from the earth. I knew this was a project I wanted to spread globally.”
Rotberg raves that “GroAloe is a tremendously beneficial, organic, single ingredient, plant based product, that can be used at all stages of crop development. From preparing the soil, through planting, growing, harvesting and finally for post-harvest maintenance as well as overall soil fertility. It can be particularly helpful in vineyards.”
The results that GroAloe is showing on crops ranging from grapes grown in Canada, rice in Indonesia to Cannabis and Hemp in California and Oregon are remarkable. Rotberg and his associates are running additional crop trials of their own, some of which are still ongoing today from the Carolina’s to Napa/Sonoma.
Rotberg’s found, “GroAloe enhances the vine’s own natural defenses to ward off lingering fungus or soil borne diseases during their grow cycle and dormancy phase, and since the plants don’t have to work as hard, they tend to grow healthier with increased yields, not uncommon to be 10-30% greater. We recommend several spaced out foliar applications as soon as the grapes are harvested and the area has been cleaned of old vines and debris. We also have noticed that Integrating GroAloe in the existing drip irrigation and watering protocols can greatly enhance the overall health and vigor of all the plants where it is applied.”
