Colorado Mountain Winefest returns to Palisade on Saturday, September 20th
August 12, 2025 (Palisade, CO) — With just over one month remaining before Colorado Mountain Winefest, the state’s largest wine festival, the excitement is mounting as organizers prepare for a celebration that promises to be a highlight of the year for wine enthusiasts.

The 34th Annual Colorado Mountain Winefest presented by Fisher’s Liquor Barn will take place Saturday, September 20, against the scenic background of Palisade’s Riverbend Park. Wine lovers from near and far will travel to Colorado’s Western Slope to enjoy this all-inclusive wine-tasting event and a day filled with unforgettable experiences.
The 2025 festival will honor “A Toast to Tradition” and celebrate Colorado Mountain Winefest’s classic format one last time before it is reimagined for the festival’s 35th Anniversary in 2026. The event will undergo a bold and exciting new evolution, with more details to be announced soon.
This year’s festival will feature unlimited sips from over 40 Colorado wineries, offering guests the chance to discover unique varietals and connect directly with the winemakers. Between unlimited wine sips, attendees can enjoy live musical performances from The Schaffer Brothers Band and Ronnie Raygun and the Big Eighties, deepen their wine knowledge by visiting the festival’s Educational Pavilion and attending engaging wine seminars, dance it out at the Silent Disco, or get messy with the beloved Grape Stomp. Guests can also marvel at Food Network Challenger Willy Tuz as he showcases his ice carving talent. The festival will also feature a curated selection of artisan vendors and an array of gourmet food options to perfectly complement every wine.
General Admission attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass and wine tote, and access to the free wine storage tent. VIP attendees enjoy an elevated experience with access to the shaded VIP Pavilion and receive a commemorative Riedel crystal wine glass, a wine tote filled with special gifts, and access to the concierge wine storage and luxury restrooms. VIP guests can also indulge in a selection of premium wines and fresh gourmet dishes prepared by the CMU Culinary Dept. Shuttle tickets are available for convenient transportation to and from select hotels in Grand Junction, as well as Designated Driver tickets. Colorado Mountain Winefest presented by Fisher’s Liquor Barn will be held rain or shine, and attendees must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to attend.
“Colorado Mountain Winefest has become a beloved tradition, bringing people together from across the state and beyond to celebrate Colorado’s vibrant wine community,” said Cassidee Shull, Executive Director of CAVE and Colorado Mountain Winefest. “Each September, the festival not only showcases the incredible talent of our state’s winemakers, but also provides a meaningful boost to our local economy. This year, we invite you to join us in raising a glass to this cherished tradition one last time before we unveil a brand-new festival experience in 2026.”
