November 4, 2026 (Colorado, CO) — Today the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE) opened its call for entries to the 2027 Winefest Art Contest, continuing a Colorado art and wine tradition dating back to Colorado Mountain Winefest’s inception in 1992.
This year’s winning piece will represent the 2027 Colorado Mountain Winefest across commemorative posters, promotional materials, and paid marketing channels, and its artist will receive a $600 cash prize plus two (2) Signature Tickets (a $400 value) to attend the event.
Following the 2027 Winefest event, the winning piece will join a robust and varied collection of original Winefest artworks housed in Palisade by Colterris Collections – one of the most distinctive wine history and memorabilia collections in the world.

The Colorado Mountain Winefest – held each Fall in Palisade, Colorado – gives attendees a chance to learn about Colorado wine while tasting products and meeting winemakers from across the state. It has repeatedly earned national recognition from publications like USA Today and serves as the main fundraiser for the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE) – the industry’s non-profit trade association.
To support Winefest’s elevated, curated format, CAVE is seeking artwork that captures the spirit of Colorado wine and reflects the vibrancy, elegance, creativity, and diversity of our state’s wine industry. Artwork should convey a statewide Colorado identity, rather than focusing on one specific region, winery, or community.
After the January 1 submission deadline, the Winefest Art Committee will select finalists and display their work online at ColoradoWinefest.com for public voting – providing artists with an opportunity to showcase their talent to Winefest’s audience and Colorado’s wine community. All submitted artwork, excluding the winning piece, must be available for sale.

Guidelines
To enter, individuals must be a Colorado resident 21 years of age or older.
Artists may submit more than one piece of artwork at a fee of $50.00 per piece.
Previously submitted artwork is acceptable. All art entries must be two-dimensional (photography and 3D art are not eligible).
