Francis Ford Coppola Winery Expands Diamond Collection with New Signature Tier

New California Brut and Sonoma County Pinot Noir Anchor Four-Wine Tier

Oct. 30, 2026 (Geyserville, CA) — Francis Ford Coppola Winery today announced the introduction of Signature Collection, a new four-wine tier within its Diamond Collection portfolio. The collection includes two new wines—a California Brut sparkling cuvée and a Sonoma County Pinot Noir—alongside an existing Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc and Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon.

The three still wines in the Signature Collection carry a suggested retail price of $20, positioning them above Diamond Collection’s California-appellated varietal wines and at the same price as the winery’s flagship Claret. The new Brut Cuvée, with a suggested retail price of $25, began shipping to retailers in September. Its introduction follows the successful 2022 launch of Coppola Prosecco, one of the top five best-selling superpremium Proseccos in the U.S. by value, with dollar sales up 11% over the latest 52 weeks¹.

Signature Collection wines feature elegant gold capsules and take their name from the signature of Francis Coppola, which appears prominently on the front label of each wine. “These wines embody Francis Coppola’s enduring belief that fine wine enriches a well-lived life,” noted Gabriela Becker, vice president of marketing.

Reflecting its origins in Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s home vineyards of Sonoma County, the 2024 Signature Collection Pinot Noir melds cherry and raspberry flavors, a silky palate and spice and vanilla notes. It began selling in fine wine shops, restaurants and retailers across the country this month, with all four Signature Collection wines, including a Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc and a Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, expected to be in market by early 2027.

Diamond Collection Expands into Largest U.S. Sparkling Segment

The debut of the California Sparkling Brut Cuvée gives Coppola Diamond Collection an entry in the most popular segment of the super-premium domestic sparkling category, in which dry (Brut) wines comprise 70% of off-premise dollar sales, according to Circana².

The broader super-premium sparkling segment also continues to drive momentum, with off-premise dollar sales increasing 4% over the latest 52 weeks³. In the on-premise sector, sparkling Brut menu placements have increased double digits since 2022, and are predicted to grow more than 20% over the next four years, according to market research firm Datassential⁴.

“The Brut category has grown as more Americans have realized that sparkling wines don’t have to be sweet and they don’t have to be reserved for special occasions,” said Becker. “With the still wines, Diamond Collection’s new appellation-driven tier aligns well with broader premiumization trends in the wine category,” Becker said. Diamond Collection ranks among the top three bestselling domestic wines in the U.S. super-premium category, according to Circana⁵.

In the glass, Francis Coppola Brut Cuvée offers a classic expression of non-vintage California sparkling wine, with notes of pear, citrus and green apple and a crisp, citrus-inflected finish. Lees aging adds a hint of brioche.
