October 30th – Clarksburg, CA – The Clarksburg Winery Collective is thrilled to announce the formation of a new venture aimed at marketing and promoting the Clarksburg wine region and its wineries. This collaborative initiative will strengthen the reputation and profile of the Clarksburg AVA (American Viticulture Area), bringing attention to its award-winning wines, family-farmed vineyards and the beautiful Sacramento Delta.

The Clarksburg Winery Collective brings together a group of passionate winemakers, grape growers, and industry professionals who share a deep-rooted commitment to the success of Clarksburg’s wine region, which spans from Freeport in the north to Ryer Island in the south. By leveraging its expertise and resources, the Clarksburg Winery Collective aims to position the Clarksburg AVA as a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.

“By uniting the efforts of the area’s wineries, the Clarksburg Winery Collective will amplify the visibility of our region’s winemakers and create opportunities to showcase our exceptional wineries and wines,” says Jody Bogle, Vice President of Consumer Relations for Bogle Family Vineyards. “The collective’s marketing initiatives will include innovative campaigns, educational programs, and collaborative events designed to engage wine lovers, media, and industry professionals.”

Through this strategic collaboration, the Clarksburg Winery Collective will actively promote Clarksburg’s unique terroir by highlighting the distinct characteristics that make this region exceptional for winegrape growing and wine production.

“Clarksburg features more than 12,000 acres of vineyards, including a diverse range of microclimates and fertile soils which allow us to produce grapes of exceptional quality and complexity,” says Rina DiMare, Proprietor of Elevation Ten Winery. “Our unique location allows everything from Chenin Blanc to Chardonnay to Cabernet Sauvignon to Syrah to thrive.”

This new entity will be a focused collaboration of wineries in the region, while the existing Clarksburg Winegrowers and Vintners Association (CWGVA) will now focus solely on grower issues.

“The wineries of Clarksburg and the Delta region are special and deserve to have their wines promoted as part of this exciting new Collective. The association wishes them all the best and looks forward to working hand in hand to promote the AVA,” says Tom Merwin, President of the CWGVA.

The Clarksburg Winery Collective invites wine enthusiasts, trade professionals, and media to embark on a journey of discovery by exploring the unparalleled wines crafted by the talented winemakers within the Clarksburg AVA. As the collective’s initiatives gain momentum, there will be enhanced opportunities for tastings, vineyard tours, and immersive winery experiences throughout the Clarksburg wine region.
