NAPA (August 29, 2023) — As part of their commitment to producing thoughtfully sourced, high-quality wines from family-owned organic vineyards, Acre Wines owners, Mike and Talley Henry are pleased to announce their foray into the Mendocino AVA with the release of their 2021 Old Lodge Cabernet Sauvignon ($34) and 2022 Old Lodge Chardonnay ($28). While the Acre and One Acre labels will maintain their longstanding roots in Napa, the Old Lodge transition to 100 percent organically processed wines exclusively sourced from family-owned and organically-farmed vineyards in the Mendocino AVA offers an exciting new range of opportunities for the Henrys to explore and share with consumers.

Old Lodge is one of three distinctive labels under the Acre Wines umbrella. Inspired by the Old Lodge at Fallen Leaf Lake in California where Mike and Talley met as kids, and now enjoy with their kids, the husband-and-wife team launched the Old Lodge portfolio in 2020 as an homage to their “happy place.”

“Mike and I have always been committed to evolving and fine-tuning the Acre Wines portfolio so that it not only aligns with our family’s passions and values, but our customers’ as well,” said Talley Henry, Owner, Acre Wines. “Old Lodge holds such a special place in our hearts and it was important to us that this label really showcase that spirit of awe and appreciation for the people and places that matter most. The Mendocino AVA could not be a more perfect fit for the Old Lodge collection and we are thrilled to share the incredible caliber of wines that are possible from this hidden gem of a region.”

Across all wines in the Acre Wines portfolio, environmental stewardship is at the forefront of every decision. From working with organically farmed vineyards to transitioning to 100% organic processing and eco-friendly packaging, the Henrys are continually assessing and adopting conscious improvements to improve wine quality and reduce their environmental footprint at every stage of the process.

Old Lodge wines are distributed nationally across the country. The Old Lodge portfolio transition to the Mendocino AVA will complete next year with the release of their 2023 Old Lodge Rosé and some exciting new additions to the Old Lodge lineup.
