Oregon Winery Known for Producing All Sparkling Wines to Open New Tasting Room On May 23. Reservations Available Online Now
Portland, OR. (May 21, 2024) – Corollary Wines, producer of acclaimed traditional method sparkling wines, is opening its much-anticipated tasting room on May 23. Set amidst the landscape of the Eola-Amity Hills in the Willamette Valley, the new tasting room promises an immersive experience dedicated exclusively to sparkling wine. Reservations for tastings are now available to book online, with first appointments beginning May 23, inviting guests to embark on an intimate, seated winemaker tasting experience with indoor/outdoor seating. Each tasting is priced at $50 per guest and comprises a flight of five wines. Tastings are by appointment only and reservations can be made online at CorollaryWines.com.
The tasting room embodies Corollary’s vision to create an iconic structure that provides a focal point for its vineyard surroundings. Designed to evoke a deep sense of connection with the vineyard and the region, the space reflects Corollary’s ethos of intention, care, and precision in winemaking. Each element, meticulously curated, aims to punctuate the space with moments of surprise and delight, resonating with the winery’s bold energy.
In a collaborative effort between Corollary co-founder Jeanne Feldkamp’s design firm, Heirloom Modern, and Waechter Architecture, the tasting room brings together expertise in architecture, interiors, site planning, and landscaping. With a shared focus on design clarity and guest experience, the collaboration has resulted in a space that sets the stage for an unparalleled wine hospitality experience.
The design nods to the rugged and functional buildings found on working agricultural landscapes. Through geometry, color, material selection and finish, it adds a unique character and identity to the entire site. From the striking red powder-coated exterior inspired by the label of Corollary’s flagship Cuvée One wine to the locally sourced Oregon white oak paneling adorning the interiors, every detail reflects the brand’s commitment to craft, sustainability, and sense of place. The thoughtful selection of materials and furnishings ensures both functionality and an elevated design expression, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to indulge in Corollary’s sparkling offerings.
“We are thrilled to unveil our new tasting room, offering guests an immersive journey into the world of Willamette Valley sparkling,” said Jeanne Feldkamp and Dan Diephouse, co-owners and winemakers of Corollary. “With a focus on design, sustainability, and carefully crafted wine, we invite visitors to celebrate this milestone with us and have a memorable experience.”
Driven by a commitment to environmental stewardship, the tasting room also incorporates sustainable features such as rainwater harvesting, passive shading, and cross ventilation, as well as the use of durable, locally sourced materials. With a compact footprint and fire-resistant metal siding, the building prioritizes economy, energy efficiency, and resilience, underscoring Corollary’s dedication to sustainability.
Jeanne and Dan purchased the 57-acre property in the Eola-Amity Hills in 2022 with plans to develop an estate dedicated exclusively to sparkling wines, managed and developed under the guidance of permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles. The inaugural vines specifically for sparkling wine were planted in October 2023. Opening this May, the tasting room will be unlike any other in the valley and one of the few places where visitors can experience exclusively traditional method sparkling wines. The opening marks a significant milestone in their journey, offering an extraordinary destination for wine lovers and design aficionados alike.
About Corollary Wines
Corollary Wines, founded by Dan Diephouse and Jeanne Feldkamp, has been creating distinctive traditional method sparkling wines in Oregon’s Willamette Valley since 2017. The couple began their path to winemaking by learning as much as possible about sparkling wine through tastings, visiting their favorite Champagne grower-producers, and eventually experimenting with traditional-method sparkling cider in their garage. They are dedicated to exploring the terroir of the region and its expression in every bottle. Intention, care, and precision are paramount in every detail in their process—from grape growing to winemaking to the guest experience.
Corollary currently produces about 2000 cases annually. They are committed to working with growers who follow sustainable farming practices. As an extension of this commitment, their 57-acre property in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA has been planted specifically for sparkling wines, and management of the property will be guided by regenerative agriculture principles. An on-site tasting room was completed in May 2024. Corollary was a featured winery at the 2024 Oregon Chardonnay Celebration and will be a featured winery at the 2024 International Pinot Noir Celebration.
Corollary offers a 6 or 12 bottle wine club where members get first access to new and limited release wines, including magnums and extended tirage bottlings. For more information, visit corollarywines.com and follow @corollarywines on Instagram and Facebook. Corollary’s new tasting room is located at 6850 SE Sartore Rd, Amity OR 97101.
