The Intimate Dundee Hills Space Showcases Site Specific Wines in the Epicenter of Oregon Wine Country

Dundee Hills, OR, July 13, 2023 –Résonance Winery has expanded their visitor experience with the addition of The Résonance Tasting Salon at the Découverte Vineyard. Located in the prominent Willamette Valley sub-appellation of Dundee Hills, Oregon, this new barn-inspired salon is nestled in the heart of the Découverte Vineyard, a small, natural amphitheater-shaped property. The Salon offers guests striking panoramic views of the estate from both the elegant indoor seating area and intimate outdoor patio, open daily for tastings of their highly regarded Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.

In addition to curated wine flights highlighting exclusive estate selections and thoughtfully composed wine country fare, the Tasting Salon offerings include the “Discovery Tasting”: an intimate, seated journey through the Découverte Vineyard collection of wines. During the experience, wine stewards will guide guests through Résonance’s deep French roots and sustainable winemaking philosophies. Wines crafted and featured from the estate include Découverte Vineyard Pinot Noir, Découverte Vineyard Chardonnay, Les Coteaux Pinot Noir, Les Coteaux Chardonnay, Découverte Choix du Coeur Pinot Noir.

Similar to the Résonance Grand Tasting Room in Carlton, the Tasting Salon at Découverte Vineyard was inspired by the breath-taking views of the natural site and constructed with locally reclaimed barn wood to express the winery’s commitment to its roots in Oregon.

“We are thrilled to establish a unique venue in the Dundee Hills to personify the Résonance hospitality experience,” says Director of Operations Thibault Gagey. “Découverte translates to discovery, and so this tasting salon is an opportunity for guests to engage with wines that express the depth and character from our special corner of the Willamette Valley.”

Résonance Winery was founded in 2013 by the revered Maison Louis Jadot after a sojourn to the Willamette Valley by Gagey and Jacques Lardier, Jadot’s renowned winemaker for decades. This unique region sits along the same latitude as Burgundy—and they knew that distinctive Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of remarkable character could result from these notable vineyards. Now led by winemaker Guillaume Large, Résonance honors the parallels between Willamette Valley and Burgundy from a climate, winemaking, and cultural perspective. The Découverte Vineyard, established in 1996, is a testament to exploring the full impact of the local terroir to produce refined and complex wines. Découverte is comprised of 15 acres of certified organic vines, 12.5 dedicated to Pinot Noir and 2.5 optimal for Chardonnay.

Reservations to visit the Résonance tasting venues- the Découverte Tasting Salon or the Carlton Grand Tasting Room- are strongly encouraged. Reservations and information and can be found at https://resonancewines.com/visit/#tastingroom

About Résonance

Purchased in 2013 and focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Résonance Winery sits in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, in a hidden part of Willamette Valley just west of the small agricultural town of Carlton. There is a feeling at Résonance, a spirit, and energy—a ‘somewhereness’ that conveys this place can produce expressive single-vineyard wines with an identity and personality. Vineyards are owned in the three most distinguished AVAs of the Willamette: Yamhill-Carlton, Dundee Hills, and Eola-Amity Hills. The seeds for the project were planted when Maison Louis Jadot set out to establish its first winery outside of Burgundy.
