(July 13, 2023; St. Helena, Calif.)—Meadowood Napa Valley’s general manager, Patrick Nayrolles, has been elected to serve a two-year term on Visit Napa Valley’s Board of Directors for the 2024 fiscal year, effective July 1, 2023. In this role, Nayrolles will support the destination-marketing organization’s initiatives in promoting and preserving Napa Valley’s reputation as a dynamic community not only in which to live and work, but also to visit, particularly for wine, food, and wellness enthusiasts from across the globe.

“For more than 40 years, Meadowood has served as a pillar of Napa Valley and as a common ground for locals who are deeply involved in the winemaking community as well as visitors looking to find insider access to Northern California’s wine country,” Nayrolles said. “Napa Valley has been a part of my life for decades, and I feel grateful to have the opportunity to work with Visit Napa Valley to collaboratively bolster tourism and hospitality in the region we are lucky to call home.”

Nayrolles has been at the helm of Meadowood Napa Valley’s renowned hospitality since 2015, continuing his family’s legacy of exceptional guest relations at the property where his father served as general manager from 1986 to 1994. Originally from France, Nayrolles spent his childhood traversing the globe to follow his father’s career—including visits to Meadowood throughout his university years—before embarking on a career of his own at some of the world’s most celebrated properties. He has held positions at Saadiyat Beach Club in Abu Dhabi, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo in Monaco, Hotel Cipriani in Venice, and Domaine de Manville in Les Baux-de-Provence.

“We are thrilled to have Patrick join the Visit Napa Valley board, where he will no doubt provide important insight and guidance as a long-time hospitality professional and resident of Napa Valley,” said Visit Napa Valley President & CEO Linsey Gallagher. “He has been an incredible supporter of our work at Visit Napa Valley, and we are thankful to have more involvement and engagement from him as a member of our board of directors.”

Under Nayrolles’ leadership, Meadowood has received numerous accolades honoring the estate’s signature bespoke approach to hospitality, the most recent of which is the distinction of being the only property in Northern California this year to receive Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards for both Hotel and Spa.

Visit Napa Valley is the official destination-marketing organization for the Napa Valley, with a mission to promote, protect, and enhance the region’s position as the world’s premier wine-country experience and to enhance its public image as a dynamic place to visit, live, and work. Further information can be found at visitnapavalley.com.
