28 March – (Napa – CALIF.) — Napa Valley Wine Academy (NVWA), a California-based global wine school, is supporting the non-profit Sunflower of Peace Foundation which aids the people of Ukraine, by donating a percentage of online sales made through NapaValleyWineAcademy.com during the week of Saturday, March 26 through Saturday, April 2, 2022.

“As educators of wine students around the world, and global citizens, our team is passionate about helping those in need,” said NVWA CEO and Co-founder Christian Oggenfuss. “To strive for peace, and simply support humanity, we decided to raise money for the Sunflower of Peace Foundation, as their mission is to provide medical and humanitarian aid that will be used by paramedics and doctors in the war-ravaged regions of Ukraine.” NVWA is also encouraging donations directly to Sunflower of Peace.

Items such as first-aid backpacks, medicine, medical equipment and other goods essential for survival are being distributed in Ukraine by Sunflower of Peace, helping save hundreds of lives.

Sunflower of Peace Foundation is a Boston, USA-based 501(c)(3) founded in 2014, and since then has worked on empowering orphans, internally displaced persons, and, recently, people affected by both COVID-19 and the Russian military invasion to Ukraine. The organization has raised thousands of US dollars and provided hundreds of medical workers in Ukraine, with lacking equipment in times of drained resources and enormous need.

The Napa Valley Wine Academy, America’s Premier Wine School™ and the two-time winner of the WSET Global Wine Educator of the Year, is the most awarded WSET wine school in the world. The Academy is based in Napa Valley, California with locations across the United States and globally online. NVWA is proud to be an approved program provider of the internationally recognized WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) series of wine, spirit, and sake courses (including WSET Levels 1 through 4 in Wine) as well as a full suite of online classes and a host of other specialty classes ideal for enthusiasts and critical for wine and beverage industry professionals.
