VinesOS Launches New Point of Sale with Contactless Payments, QR Codes and Stripe Flat-Rate Pricing

New cloud-based omnichannel platform enables a 360º view of direct-to-consumer sales.

San Jose, CA | March 28, 2022 — Small to midsize wineries looking for a modern, all-in-one, flat-rate priced solution for direct-to-consumer sales now have a competitive new option. VinesOS is unveiling a fully integrated, Stripe-based Point of Sale along with a new brand design at WiVi in Paso Robles, CA, on March 30.

The easy-to-use VinesOS cloud-based Point of Sale enables wineries to manage all DTC channels from a single dashboard: POS, Clubs, Subscriptions, eCommerce, and Reservations. Stripe integration offers flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees or contracts. Processing can start immediately upon signup, with no third-party merchant account setup.

Staff can quickly ring up a sale anywhere they go, on any device, with a swipe, tap, or click, using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card on file. New members can be added on the spot, or customers can scan a QR code to sign up for a club in less than a minute.

“Our new Stripe-connected POS offers winery clients complete, flat-rate pricing, which means they always know their bottom-line cost. VinesOS has everything built-in, including shipping, compliance, clubs, subscriptions, and event reservations. There are no hidden fees, additional app costs, or merchant surcharges,” says Jules Robbins, VinesOS CEO. “Our clients can start processing instantly, knowing all costs, and see their payout dates and fees in the dashboard.”

The new cloud-based POS allows wineries to sell wine, flights, bottles, merchandise, reservations, and gift cards and instantly apply discounts. Use QR codes to include on wine labels to increase product sales, sign up new members, and build tasting menus on the fly. During online checkout, customers can join clubs with a single click.

Staff can recognize members on the spot with real-time customer insights such as orders for pickup, lifetime value, last visit date, favorite wines, and the club manager’s notes on file. “VinesOS can capture an Apple Pay, Google Pay, or browser-stored card for future club order processing. This means that your customers don’t need to dig a card out from their physical wallet to join your club while enjoying a tasting,” says Robbins. “They scan a QR code and let Google address autofill the form… so they can join in 50 seconds. Staff can also add a member to an order, or create a new member quickly, mid-checkout.”

“I highly recommend VinesOS for any winery looking for a complete all-in-one solution. It’s user-friendly, intuitive, and reliable and has saved us an incredible amount of time and money. We have increased our Wine Club members by 22% and our eCommerce by 30%. Plus, their customer support is exceptional.” says Kristy Charles of Foursight Wine, Anderson Valley.

In one single dashboard, wineries can see daily sales, analyzed across all channels: POS, eCommerce, and Club, as well as member signups or cancellations and daily reservations.

Owners can view all their transactions and payout dates and see precisely what is going to the bank and when it will settle. There are embedded alerts on credit card disputes, which can be managed entirely online. With Stripe’s advanced fraud protection, disputes and chargebacks are minimized.

Want to get better visibility into wine usage in the tasting room? VinesOS enables inventory tracking and reporting by the taste, glass, and bottle and advanced Pour Reports, which help prevent inventory shrinkage and loss.
