Wine Industry Network Launches Wine Industry Sales Symposium

Symposium Tracks Will Focus on Wholesale and Direct to Consumer Channels

Healdsburg, CA, August 10, 2020 – Wine Industry Network (WIN) announced today that it is launching a new Wine Industry Sales Symposium. The 2-day educational symposium will have one day dedicated to the wholesale channel and the other to the direct to consumer channel, with each day featuring three distinct sessions. This virtual conference will be broadcast on Wednesday & Thursday, September 2nd & 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Registration is free for wine industry professionals and opens today.

The Wine Industry Sales Symposium is designed to support every facet of the sales process and will combine components of WIN’s annual 3-Tier Wine Symposium, an event established for small to medium sized wineries eager to gain new insights into ways to increase their profitability in the wholesale channel and a brand new event, the Direct2 Sales Symposium, a conference focused on the direct to consumer channel.

Building upon the foundation of last year’s 3-Tier event, the wholesale track will again leverage experts from every layer of the three-tier system including distributors, brokers, PR professionals, wineries and analysts to share their insights and expertise to help wineries succeed during such unprecedented times. The program will include a category overview, the positive technology impact on sales, and advice from distributors sharing best practices of wineries succeeding in the COVID-19 environment.

The new Direct2 Sales Symposium will feature experts who will share valuable strategies to make your winery’s DTC program more resilient and prepared for disruptions the industry has experience with the pandemic, and for some regions, fires and floods over the last few years. These discussions will provide insights into the top engagement strategies, how to sustain tasting room sales with or without visitors and much more.

“Our industry is facing challenges we’ve never experienced before. COVID-19 is forcing us to have to adapt quickly to this new environment and find creative and innovative ways to conduct our businesses so that we can still succeed regardless of the pandemic or any other disruption,” says George Christie, President of Wine Industry Network. “Between the quality of the speakers we have assembled and the expertise they’ll bring to the conversation, there will be something here for everyone. The good news is that there is still a ton of opportunity in both the wholesale and direct channels, so this is a conference everyone should tune into.”

This is a free symposium for the wine industry, interested professionals can register here: REGISTER

The Wine Industry Sales Symposium will be back in-person at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country on May 25th & 26th, 2021.
