About The Stomping Ground

Local winemakers Jason and Janu Goelz purchased an industrial vacant lot in Gilroy, right off Highway 101, in hopes of transforming the 7-acre property into the ultimate food and wine destination. Phase 1 of TSG has been completed; custom crush and cellaring facilities for regional artisan wine brands have been installed. Phase 2 is in progress and includes hospitality renovations for wine tasting rooms, restaurants, gourmet food vendors and entertainment. The entire property will be completely transformed over the next few years to create a true food and wine destination in Phase 3. Jason-Stephens Winery was the first to open their tasting room doors at The Stomping Ground, with Alara Cellars and Calerrain Wines following.
