Santa Rosa, CA – On Thursday, May 2, 2019, California Farm Bureau President Jamie Johansson will deliver the keynote address at the CFBF Roadshow at the Flamingo Resort & Conference Center in Santa Rosa. The regional event sponsored by American AgCredit will provide opportunities for farmers, ranchers, rural residents and anyone interested in agriculture and the issues affecting the industry today to learn about hot topics, receive industry updates, hear from CFBF topic experts and to participate in round table discussion with others from across Northern California.

Sonoma County Farm Bureau Executive Director Tawny Tesconi strongly encourages anyone connected to agriculture to attend this unique event.

“Jamie Johansson has his finger on the pulse of agriculture and he and his staff do more to shape and support our industry than any other advocacy organization in our state,” Tesconi said. “We are fortunate to have the CFBF team coming to Northern California to share their expertise and answer our questions about some of the biggest game changing legislation farmers have faced in decades.”

The Roadshow will begin at 11:00 a.m. with presentations about issues affecting agriculture and rural residents beginning at 11:30. Attendees will enjoy a catered lunch, participate in round table discussion, and the event will conclude at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Roadshow Wine & Cheese Reception hosted by Sonoma and Mendocino County Farm Bureaus.

The Roadshow will provide opportunities for Farm Bureau members to learn about what CFBF is doing for them at the state and local level and for non-members to learn about issues affecting agriculture and California Farm Bureau’s role in advocating and advancing the interests of farming and ranching statewide.

Sessions will be led by CFBF staff and will include topics like water, EPA updates, air quality, forest management and fire prevention, and food safety.

The cost of attendance is $20 for Farm Bureau Members and $40 for non-members. However, non-members who join Farm Bureau at the event will be refunded their $40. Please call 707-544-5575 or visit www.sonomafb.org/events for more information and to reserve your spot. Please RSVP by Monday, April 29, 2019.
