Niles, IL – January 31st, 2019 – Winesellers, Ltd., the family-owned, global importer and marketer of fine wines will be introducing a new Rose from France’s Loire valley, famous for its beautiful scenery and majestic castles, but also one of the great wine regions of the world. The Le Charmel Rose de Loire AOP is the epitome of this region’s best roses, made from Cabernet Franc and Gamay varietals and hails from very select vineyard sites above the Loire River near the town of Angers.
Le Charmel is a partnership between Winesellers, Ltd. (Yale, Adam and Jordan Sager) and Master Wines (Melvyn, Janie and Charles Master). The Master family has spent decades working with French winemakers and producing quality wines from France’s diverse growing regions their lifelong work. “Our success is due to the long relationships we have had throughout France with small family vineyards and wineries, and working with these artisans to perfect our blends,” says Melvyn Master. “Great quality at a fair price is still what drives the market.” The families believe the wines of Loire are poised to grow and soon will see major increases overall in the US market. “What most in our industry may not necessarily realize is Loire Rose is the second highest selling AOP level Rose in France, after Provence of course,” says Jordan Sager, Winesellers, Ltd. Co-President. “We are expecting a good deal of excitement with this new offering and eager to introduce more of what French Rose can offer.”
Le Charmel is a versatile brand geared towards all wine consumers and trend-setting retailers and restaurants. The Le Charmel range will consist of Rose de Loire AOP ($13), Pinot Noir ($13), Touraine Sauvignon AOP ($14), Syrah/Grenache Costières de Nîmes AOP ($14) and Cotes de Provence AOP Rose ($16). The Loire Rose will also be available in 20-liter kegs for on- premise wine on tap.
