Ticket Sales Now Open to the General Public
HEALDSBURG, Calif. (March 20, 2018) – Alexander Valley Winegrowers is pleased to present Experience Alexander Valley, a two-day festival of intimate, exclusive experiences hosted by participating Alexander Valley wineries and focused on showcasing the region’s world-class wines, geographic diversity and winegrowing traditions. Tickets are now available and can be purchased on the Alexander Valley Winegrowers website.
Each experience is limited to 24 guests to create an unforgettable experience showcasing the very best of what Alexander Valley has to offer. Participating wineries that are offering unique experiences include Alexander Valley icons such as Silver Oak and SIMI, boutique gems like Hawkes and J. Rickards, as well as area newcomers like Zialena and Sutro.
Experience Alexander Valley events are divided into three categories: Food & Wine, Active and Education. Food and Wine experiences include: ravioli making, food pairings and farm tours. Active experiences include: mountain biking through the vineyards, yoga in the vineyards followed by a brunch cooked by the host family and bocce tournaments paired with Italian appetizers. Wine Education experiences include: Bordeaux-varietal blending, private estate tours with single barrel wine tasting flights and cave tours with the winemaker. There are two experience time slots at 10:00am and 2:00pm.
“Experience Alexander Valley is an opportunity for guests to have intimate and unique experiences at locations that are inaccessible to everyday visitors. Guests will meet the people behind the scenes, like the winemakers, farmers and family proprietors at inspired settings, such as vineyards with views and oak-studded knolls,” said Jake Hawkes, owner of Hawkes Wine, Alexander Valley board member and founder of Experience Alexander Valley.
