Majority Shareholding Within Forrester Vineyards (Pty) Ltd and Acquisition of Le Bonheur Wine Estate
Situated at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of Stellenbosch, Ken Forrester Vineyards is considered “The House of Chenin Blanc”.
Renowned worldwide, Ken Forrester wines can be found on wine lists of top restaurants and fine wine shops around the globe.
AdVini has acquired a significant share of Forrester Vineyards (Pty) Ltd. Ken Forrester will remain Chief Executive Officer to manage the business. He will be in charge of national and international development with the support of the AdVini sales team.
Ken Forrester Vineyards and AdVini aim to double the sales in the coming years.
This comes shortly after AdVini acquired the venerable Stellenbosch stalwart Le Bonheur Wine Estate, a stunning 163 hectare property, in addition to L’Avenir, a wonderful Wine Estate belonging to AdVini since 2010, famous for its outstanding Pinotage.
These recent moves aim to position AdVini as one of the leading Terroir wine producers in South Africa and are aligned with the AdVini strategic plan “E-toile 2020”.
With 2.075 hectares of vineyards, in the heart of the most famous french wine regions, AdVini has become the leading actor in France for terroir wines. The extensive portfolio include Ogier and its Clos de l’oratoire des Papes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape; Antoine Moueix Propriétés with Château Capet-Guillier in Saint-Emilion and Château Patache d’Aux in Médoc; Domaine Laroche in Chablis ; Vignobles Jeanjean and the Mas La Chevalière in Languedoc ; Domaine Cazes and Clos de Paulilles in Roussillon; Château Gassier in the Provence SainteVictoire area ; Rigal and Château de Chambert in Cahors.
Before these acquisitions AdVini was present in South Africa with L’Avenir a Wine & Tourism estate of 70 hectares and in Chile with Vina Casablanca, 150 ha owned in partnership with Santa Carolina.
AdVini’s Wine Estates are increasingly growing in notoriety and recognition and exported to 106 countries.
