NYC-based Importer Brings New Winery and Additional Spirits into Italian Fine Wine Focused Portfolio

Vias ImportsNew York City, June 10, 2015 — Vias Imports, Ltd., the leading importer of Italian fine wine in the United States, has begun importing and distributing the wines of Giancarlo Ceci Winery, a producer of USDA certified organic wines in the Italian region of Puglia. In addition, Vias has also introduced three new spirits products from the Campania-based Nastro d’Oro Distillery to the US market, joining its flagship Árvero Limoncello liqueur offering.

“Giancarlo Ceci Winery and Nastro d’Oro Distillery follow the same philosophy as all products in the Vias portfolio,” says Fabrizio Pedrolli, Chairman and Founder of Vias Imports Ltd. “Both are boutique, family operations with the utmost respect for terroir and passion for quality. We are excited to work with Ceci’s wines as well as the new Sambuca, Mela Annurca Nurchetto, and San Constanzo Amaro that Nastro d’Oro has recently debuted.”

Ceci has been a Puglia family name in winemaking for more than 200 years. Owner Giancarlo Ceci spearheaded the winery’s organic movement and cultivates the land without machinery, demonstrating the utmost respect for his land and resulting products. The grapes are processed, fermented, bottled, boxed, and shipped on site, ensuring the quality control during every step of the winemaking process. The following wines are now available nationwide: Panascio Bombino Bianco Castel del Monte DOC 2013 ($13), Parchitello Bombino Nero Rosato Castel del Monte DOCG 2014 ($13), Almagia Rosso Biodinamico Castel del Monte DOC 2013 ($21), Parco Grande Rosso Castel del Monte DOC 2013 ($13), Parco Marano Nero di Troia Castel del Monte DOCG 2011 ($27), Felice Ceci Nero di Troia Riserva Castel del Monte DOCG 2008 ($47) and Dolce Rosalia Moscato di Trani DOC 2012 ($31).

Vias has also introduced new spirits under the Nastro d’Oro Distillery, in addition to the Árvero label. Árvero’s staple product, Limoncello liqueur ($18.99), is prepared traditionally using the natural zest of hand-selected lemons and produced free of added chemicals or preservatives. In addition to Árvero Limoncello liqueur, Vias will import a Sambuca, Nurchetto, and Amaro. The following products are now available in 750-ml. offerings nationwide:

Nastro d’Oro Sambuca (SRP $23.99, 40% abv) is the perfect post-meal palate cleanser with a uniquely spicy, herbal scent and great balance between alcohol and sweetness.

Mela Annurca Nurchetto Apple Liqueur (SRP $23.99, 30% abv) is made with unripe apples that produce a creamy calvados-cider hybrid, bright yellow in color, ideally served chilled and paired with raisins.

Amaro San Costanzo (SRP $23.99, 30% abv) is deep caramel in color with flavors of anise, arugula, fennel and mint, ideal to serve as an aperitif.
