SommSelectOn Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1, SommSelect, will begin featuring Napa and Sonoma County wines for one solid week, donating 100% of the net profits that they receive directly to the American Red Cross of Napa, which is helping the Napa/Sonoma County earthquake victims directly. This effort will run through Sunday, Sept. 7.

SommSelect was co-founded by Master Sommelier Ian Cauble and Brandon Carneiro to give wine lovers access to bottles that are vetted by a Master Sommelier.

“The idea started with a tweet I posted right after the quake, suggesting that maybe we should all #drinknapawine to support the relief efforts,” said Ian. “We decided to act on that comment and devote an entire week to offering the best wines from Sonoma and Napa wineries hit hardest, and sending all of the proceeds to the Red Cross so they can help local families.”

“Having been born and raised in wine country, this is my home and these are my neighbors who have been touched by this earthquake,” said Brandon. “Our week-long benefit is our way that we can give back.”

Wine lovers who want to contribute should go to www.SommSelect.com and sign up for free daily wine recommendations. In addition to sales proceeds being donated, visitors to SommSelect who don’t purchase can still donate directly to the American Red Cross of Napa.
