September 28, 2026 (Napa, CA) — Vine IQ, LLC today launched VineIQ, a vineyard platform that maps a block vine by vine from a single lap around its perimeter on an ordinary phone. No RTK rover, drone, GIS software or cell signal is needed. The lap produces every row and vine, the block outline and the planted acreage, and a miscount is caught before the counter leaves the block.
At the top of the market, vineyards are farmed vine by vine. Crop is set on each vine, weak vines go onto a second drip line, young replants are picked apart from the old vines around them, and virus-infected vines are found and pulled before they spread. Yet vineyard records have always been kept by the block, because giving every vine an address took an RTK rover, a drone flight or a GIS specialist.
VineIQ closes that gap. Once a block is mapped, every vine has a permanent address. Walking a row, a grower taps once to mark a vine dead, missing, symptomatic or replanted, and the record appears on the dashboard map beside that vine’s history from earlier seasons. A vine flagged in August can be tested in the fall, pulled in winter and its replant tracked the next spring.
The same map carries the rest of the operation. Spray applications, irrigation and phenology are logged against the blocks and vines they happened on. Work orders and removal maps print straight from it.
