Guests taste two single barrels — one brandy, one bourbon — then fill, cork, label, and sign a bottle of either. Or both.
September 25, 2026 (Louisville, KY) — Copper & Kings is relaunching its Bottle Your Own experience, offering guests an immersive journey into the intertwined heritage of American brandy and bourbon. Visitors can fill, cork, label, and sign their own bottle to take home, creating a unique, personal memento of their visit.
The one-hour guided tour begins with a complimentary welcome cocktail featuring American brandy aged in bourbon barrels. Guests will then explore the atmospheric barrel cellar, where they can taste both Revival American Brandy and Kings Proof Bourbon side by side. The tour continues through the distillery’s iconic copper pot still room and includes a special tasting pour typically reserved for Kings Bottle Club members.
The tour culminates with an exclusive tasting from two single barrels- one American brandy and one bourbon. After sampling both, guests may choose to fill, cork, label, and sign a bottle from either barrel or take home one of each.
“We make brandy the way Kentucky makes bourbon, but we do it our own way—using fruit, pot stills, used barrels, and an underground cellar,” said Rob Bourdon, CEO of Copper & Kings. “No one expects it when they arrive, but everyone understands it when they leave, especially after filling their own bottle. Bourbon and American Brandy have more in common than many realize. Our brandies age in bourbon barrels, and our bourbons finish in brandy barrels. The Bottle Your Own experience lets guests discover that connection firsthand and take home a bottle they personally created.”
The Bottle Your Own experience is available daily at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. at Copper & Kings, located at 1121 E. Washington St. in Louisville. Tickets are $48 per person. Guests may purchase their filled bottles for $90 each, plus tax, either after the tasting or as an add-on when booking. Please note that bottles are not included in the tour price. Participants must be 21 or older with valid ID to fill a bottle.
