The fourth annual Cabernet Franc Masters brings together more than twenty Paso Robles wine producers, global comparisons, and culinary exploration on Sunday, Dec. 6
PASO ROBLES, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2026) – Paso Robles puts Cabernet Franc in focus on Sunday, Dec. 6, as the fourth annual Cabernet Franc Masters brings more than 20 local producers to Cass Event Center for a day of comparative tastings, culinary pairings and conversations with winemakers.
Featuring more than 60 wines across the day’s program, the event explores Paso Robles’ Bordeaux identity beyond Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing together wines shaped by differences in vineyard site, elevation and climate. Tasted side by side, they reveal the range of Cabernet Franc across the region’s eleven appellations.
An international seminar connects local expressions with international wines and is followed by a food and wine seminar that examines Cabernet Franc’s range at the table.

Seminars
- 10:00–11:00 a.m. | World of Franc: Global Expressions — Sam Schmitt of the Central Coast School of Wine leads a comparative tasting spanning the Loire Valley, Paso Robles and other wine regions.
- 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. | The Versatile Franc — Wes Hagen of Allan Hancock College explores Cabernet Franc through food and wine pairings.
Grand tasting
- 12:30–3:00 p.m. | Grand Tasting — Taste Cabernet Franc from more than 20 Paso Robles wineries alongside artisanal food pairings, and meet the winemakers.
