Expanded distribution brings New Mexico-born wines into two major Northeast markets as VARA broadens its national presence
September 9, 2026 (Albuquerque, NM) — VARA Winery & Distillery, the Albuquerque-based winery and craft distillery, is bringing its award-winning sparkling wines to New York and New Jersey, expanding the brand’s national footprint to 13 states.
VARA Brut and VARA Brut Rosé are now available at select retailers in both states, giving consumers across the area their very first opportunity to experience the New Mexico-born wines. VARA’s wines are also distributed in: New Mexico, California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Illinois distributors also carry VARA New Mexico Sparkling Brut, which earned 98 points at the 2025 San Francisco International Wine Competition—the highest score ever awarded to a New Mexico wine.
