December 15, 2025 (Napa Valley, CA) — The PlumpJack Collection of Wineries today announced a set of new tasting experiences designed to expand the approachability of its four estate wineries. Understanding that wine tasting fees having risen in recent years, the goal is to give the wine-curious and those just beginning their journeys into Napa Valley wines, friendly first steps. The new offerings allow guests to experience the Collection’s celebrated wines and light-hearted hospitality without having to commit to a traditional hour-long tasting.
“Our goal is simple: to make it easier for people to discover what makes Napa Valley and each of our estate wineries so special,” said John Conover, Managing Partner of the PlumpJack Collection. “Not everyone is ready to dive into a full tasting right away. These new offerings give our guests casual, low-key ways to experience the valley, connect with our teams, and build their confidence as they explore wine.”
Estate Preview | Complimentary
Monday–Wednesday, 10am–1pm at PlumpJack, Odette, Adaptation, and 13th Vineyard
Guests are welcomed with a complimentary hosted tasting of two current-release wines, offering an introduction to each estate’s heritage and terroir. From Oakville’s historic roots to the storied 13th Vineyard on Howell Mountain, guests will discover the distinct character of each winery in a beautiful, casual setting that allows guests to become acquainted with each estate’s wines.
Estate Tasting Experience | $40
Monday–Wednesday, 10am–1pm at all PlumpJack Collection properties, including CADE
At each winery, this hosted tasting features a selection of current releases, including our flagship Cabernet Sauvignons. It’s an opportunity to cover the Cabernet basics, then branch out into the other varietals that reflect the individual passions of our winemakers: Danielle, Aaron, Andrew and their teams. At CADE on Howell Mountain, this may mean a Sauvignon Blanc, at PlumpJack in Oakville, a Syrah, and at Odette in Stag’s Leap, a Chardonnay. Come in and be surprised! This tasting is meant to be a great conversation-starter. We hope the first of many to come.
The new tasting experiences will be available beginning January 5, 2026. Booking links and additional details will be available via Tock:
About PlumpJack Estate Winery
Owned by partners Gavin Newsom, Gordon Getty and John Conover, and operated by PlumpJack Management Group, PlumpJack Estate Winery is located in Napa Valley’s famed Oakville AVA. The winery made international headlines in 2000 when it became the first producer to release a luxury wine, its 1997 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, with a screw cap closure. Since joining PlumpJack Winery in 2012, Winemaker Aaron Miller has earned three 100-point Cabernet Sauvignon scores with two Syrahs in the Top 100 Wines of the World.
About Odette Estate Winery
Odette Estate Winery, nestled in the heart of the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, is dedicated to producing limited-production, terroir-driven. Named after three historical female figures, Odette captures the essence of Stags Leap District, symbolizing femininity, strength, and power. The winery’s commitment to responsible stewardship of the land has earned it widespread acclaim and recognition within the industry, from its surrounding 36-acre organically farmed CCOF certified Estate Vineyard to its 5,000-square-foot LEED Gold Certified winery. In 2021, the estate launched the Adaptation label, serving as an approachable entry point to the Odette portfolio and the broader PlumpJack Collection of Wineries. In May of 2022, The PlumpJack Collection announced the acquisition of Oso Vineyard, a sprawling, high elevation site in northeastern Napa Valley. Roughly a third of the 129-acre vineyard’s grapes have been featured in the Adaptation label in recent years, and the Oso acquisition furthers that label’s ability to grow. Andrew Haugen was appointed as Head Winemaker in 2023.
About 13th Vineyard by CADE Estate Winery
In 2016, the PlumpJack Collection acquired what is now 13th Vineyard by CADE, restoring a historic property that dates to 1886 (and was the 13th bonded winery in the Napa Valley). Perched high upon Napa Valley’s Howell Mountain among a dramatic hillside of Manzanita trees, CADE Estate Winery is a unique, state-of-the-art facility producing exquisite Estate Cabernet and enticing Sauvignon Blanc, helmed by winemaker Danielle Cyrot since 2012. Having received its Gold LEED certification in 2009, CADE is considered the greenest winery estate of its size in California.
