Site donated by Methodist Hospital Hill Country; Texas Wine Auction Foundation outfitted the center to widen access to counseling and psychiatric care for all ages.
October 27, 2025 (Fredericksburg, TX) — The Texas Wine Auction Foundation (TWAF) was on hand to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Frontera Healthcare’s new Behavioral Health Clinic at 808 Reuben St. The new clinic is a community partnership that brings expanded mental health care services closer to home for children, teens, and adults in the Texas Hill Country. The TWAF provided the funding necessary to furnish and accelerate build-out of the new space donated by Methodist Hospital Hill Country.
“Access to care shouldn’t depend on your zip code or your paycheck,” said Valerie Elkins, co-founder of the Texas Wine Auction Foundation. “Our donors and winery partners helped turn an empty room into a working clinic. That’s real impact—right here, right now—for families in our community.”
Frontera Healthcare operates the clinic and offers a broad spectrum of behavioral health services designed to support the wellbeing of all individuals and families. Services include family and couples counseling, play therapy, and adult and child psychiatric care addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life changes. Gillespie County has historically been underserved for mental health services, and Frontera is committed to providing high-quality care that is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all members of the community. The clinic partnership builds on TWAF’s Wellness Uncorked initiative with Frontera Healthcare, which supports the health and mental wellness of individuals in the hospitality community through group counseling, education, and outreach.
