
October 16, 2025 (Napa Valley, CA) — Shafer Vineyards is pleased to announce a new sales team bringing fresh energy and commitment to key markets, accounts, and consumers.

The new team includes:
Nick Holmes, Vice President, Global Sales, leads the new team overseeing all domestic and international sales. Holmes is a seasoned wine industry professional with 20 years of experience, offering a comprehensive understanding of the premium market through significant roles with iconic, family-run wineries. His journey started in hospitality while attending the University of Colorado, Boulder, a path that eventually led to sales and leadership roles with Jackson Family Wines’ Spire Collection, Jordan Vineyard & Winery, and Opus One.


Lisa Hafer, Director, National Accounts, oversees all national accounts, both on and off-premise, from her home base in Houston, Texas. Hafer brings more than two decades of experience in fine wine sales, account management, and brand strategy, having held senior positions at some of the industry’s most respected wine companies, including DAOU Family Estates, Treasury Wine Estates, and Crimson Wine Group. Throughout her career, Lisa has built a reputation for developing and executing strategic market plans, cultivating strong relationships, and driving growth across complex, multi-state territories.
Jamie Gillan, Vice President of Sales, Eastern US, directs both strategic planning and executive-level management for the entire Eastern territory. Gillan brings more than three decades of leadership and brand building in the fine wine industry to his new role at Shafer, with a reputation for driving growth, forging strong distributor partnerships, and elevating prestigious brands across competitive markets. Before joining Shafer, Jamie served as Vice President of Sales at Clos du Val Winery and prior to that, spent more than a decade with Huneeus Vintners in various senior leadership roles, leading high-performing sales teams and delivering consistent brand growth and market expansion.


Roman Palumbo, Western Regional Sales Director, oversees sales and execution in CA, NV, HI, WA, OR, AK, WY, UT, ID, and MT. Palumbo began his career with Southern Glazer’s covering the Beverly Hills territory, where he managed nearly 100 top accounts. After earning his WSET Level 2, he spent four years leading the California market for DAOU Family Estates, driving significant growth ahead of its billion-dollar acquisition. He then joined Darioush as National Sales Manager, where he helped develop the brand’s national footprint and position as a leading luxury Napa estate.
Angela Smith, Regional Sales Director, Eastern U.S., oversees sales and execution in AR, IL, IN, KY, LA, MI, NC, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, WI, and WV. A seasoned wine professional with 15 years of experience, Smith has built her career representing premium, legacy-driven wineries, including pivotal roles at Jordan Vineyard & Winery and Paul Hobbs Winery. Her background spans both the supplier and distributor sides of the business, giving her a unique advantage in driving volume and qualitative account growth through relationship-driven leadership in highly competitive markets.
