October 2, 2025 (Miami, FL) — Guía Peñín, the world’s most comprehensive reference for Spanish wines, brought its iconic Salón Selección tasting event to Miami for the very first time on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Mr. C Coconut Grove. The highly anticipated debut featured over 30 Spanish wineries and attracted more than 130 wine professionals from Miami and surrounding areas, including buyers, beverage directors, sommeliers, restaurant and wine shop owners, media, importers, and distributors.

The event began with an exclusive seminar that transported guests through Spain’s vineyards, exploring its most iconic regions and grape varieties. The session was led by Doreen Colondres, Chef, WSET Wine Educator, and Author, and featured a guided tasting of exceptional wines that showcased the diversity and richness of Spanish terroir.
Following the seminar, attendees enjoyed a walk-around tasting that offered a rare opportunity to meet leading Spanish wine producers and sample a curated selection of
some of Spain’s highest-rated wines. The event also marked the launch of the 35th edition of the Peñín Guide, Spain’s most comprehensive wine reference, which includes evaluations of more than 12,000 wines from over 120 regions.
The Miami tasting highlighted the diversity, quality, and innovation that define the modern landscape of Spanish wine, while connecting producers directly with U.S. trade and media.
