Albert Bichot Honored with Triple Win at the International Wine Challenge

September 24, 2025 — At this year’s International Wine Challenge (IWC Awards) in London, held on Tuesday, September 9, Maison Albert Bichot won three of the highest honors:

  • Red Winemaker of the Year 2025 (awarded to Maison Albert Bichot for the 3rd time).
  • Champion Red Wine 2025, for the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru “ Cuvée Cyrot- Chaudron ” Hospices de Beaune 2023, crowned the world’s best red wine.
  • French White Trophy, for the Meursault 1 Cru “ Les Charmes ” Domaine du Pavillon 2023, named best French white wine.

In total, Albert Bichot collected 13 trophies, 7 Gold Medals and 5 Silver Medals, a remarkable achievement that reflects not only the expertise of Technical Director Matthieu Mangenot but also the dedication of the estate’s vineyard and cellar teams. Two Outstanding Wines in the Spotlight

The Meursault Premier Cru “Les Charmes” Domaine du Pavillon 2023 was praised for its poise, elegance and depth, lifted by a distinctive mineral and saline notes.

The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru “Cuvée Cyrot-Chaudron” 2023, Hospices de Beaune aged by Albert Bichot impressed the panel with its character and complexity. This wine illustrates the unique character of the great terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and demonstrates Albert Bichot’s expertise in promoting the Hospices de Beaune, of which it is a historic and emblematic partner.
