Interactive Tasting Experiences Feature Freshly Picked Grapes at Two Paso Robles Tasting Rooms

September 18, 2025 (Paso Robles, CA) — As the annual wine harvest unfolds across Paso Robles, Hope Family Wines is inviting guests to get in on the action with interactive hands-on tasting experiences at its two Paso Robles locations—the Hope on Park tasting room in downtown Paso Robles and the Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar in the Templeton Gap District.

Both experiences coincide with California Wine Month in September and will continue through October in celebration of Paso Robles Harvest Wine Month.

Hope on Park Tasting Room | “Austin Hope Vertical: Harvest Edition” ($75)

This special experience begins with guided “berry sensory analysis” with freshly picked fruit from the vineyard. Guests will assess the fruit for a variety of ripeness factors including pulp, seeds and skins. They will also learn how to take “brix” measurements to determine grape sugar content. This immersive, education and delicious experience concludes with a curated multi-vintage vertical tasting of Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, the region’s leading luxury Cabernet Sauvignon. It all takes place in the interior Hope on Park Creative Space at the stunning Hope on Park tasting room, the acclaimed place to be in downtown Paso Robles. Reserve online or call (805) 591-0744.

Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar | “Harvest Happiness” ($25)

It’s harvest season—but when is it time to pick? In this exclusive tasting, guests will step into the role of a winemaker and learn how to determine “Brix,” the measurement of grape sugar ripeness. Guests will use fresh grape juice straight from the field as well as a hydrometer to take measurements and discover how technical precision meets vineyard intuition in deciding when to pick. This is a rare opportunity to engage with the science behind the art of winemaking—all while enjoying a flight of Austin Hope and Treana wines. This experience takes place at the Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar, the estate that started it all for Hope Family Wines. Reserve online or call (805) 238-4112.

Plus: Harvest Season Happy Hours

Hope on Park also announced its next two Happy Hour experiences that take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the last Monday of each month.

On September 29, Hope on Park will offer “Deconstructing Cabernet Sauvignon—A Paso Robles Exploration.” This event invites guests to go beyond the bottle for a deep dive tasting that explores what makes Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon so exceptional—and why Paso Robles is one of the most exciting wine regions in the world. The festivities will be hosted by two of Hope Family Wines most passionate insiders: Stasi Seay, Director of Vineyards & Grower Relations and CJ Gormley, National Brand Ambassador. The experience is elevated with curated local cheeses and charcuterie cups by Rolling Oaks Charcuterie—the perfect savory pairing for your exploration of Cabernet mastery. Cost is $35 per person.

On October 27, Hope on Park will host “Oyster Fest at Hope on Park.” The team behind Morro Bay Gold Oysters will merge vineyard and ocean as they share stories of how they sustainabily farm oysters in the cool waters of Morro Bay. Guests will enjoy freshly shucked oysters paired with a selection of Austin Hope wines, all chosen to complement the clean, delicate flavors of the sea. Cost is $45 per person.
